Aaron S from Pennant Hills thought of this design and brought it to me with the idea of utilizing the oddly shaped grass area he had in his backyard. He wanted a modern and contemporary cabin studio / teenage retreat for his young kids to be used as a large cubby house. And of course when they grow out of it, Aarons cubby can easily be converted into an attractive outdoor study room or storage shed, just by changing the colours of the paint To keep the cubby / cabin cool in summer and warm in winter, foil insulation and wool insulation were installed in the walls and ceiling with a ventilation gap between the two as per installation requirements to enhance the insulation properties. To add further insulation, doors and windows can be fitted with the option of double glazing and energy efficient laminate glass at an extra price.
